NevTan Drive, answered

Fifteen questions, answered straight. Nothing here claims a feature Drive does not have.

What is NevTan Drive?

NevTan Drive is a cloud file workspace that stores, organizes, previews, edits, and shares your files in the browser. PDF, document, spreadsheet, and presentation editors are built in, so most work never needs a desktop app.

What files can I preview and edit in the browser?

Images, PDFs, video, audio, code, and Office documents open in the browser with no download. PDFs can be edited, annotated, and signed, and the Word-, Excel-, and PowerPoint-style editors export real .docx, .xlsx, and .pptx files. Single uploads can be up to 100 MB.

How do I control who can see a file?

Invite people by email as Viewer, Commenter, or Editor, or send a share link with an expiry date and a password on it. You can transfer ownership and turn downloads off, and every share, permission change, and access event is recorded in the file's own audit log.

Is my storage shared with NevTan Mail?

Yes. Drive and NevTan Mail draw on one combined storage total, so the meter in Drive shows the same number Mail shows. Large attachments you send from Mail are stored in your Drive and delivered as a share link.

Is my data private?

Private files and folders are only ever visible behind a signed-in Drive session, and the app's routes are excluded from search engine indexing. Share links are tokenized, and you can expire them, put a password on them, or turn off downloading so a file can only be read in the browser.

How is billing handled?

NevTan Drive is free to start, and the PDF, document, spreadsheet, and presentation editors are all included at no extra cost. When you need more room, storage is billed across the NevTan suite through Stripe on a yearly plan, and you can change or cancel it at any time.

Do I need to install anything?

No. NevTan Drive runs entirely in the browser, including the PDF, document, spreadsheet, and presentation editors. There is no desktop app to install and no plugin to add.

How much does NevTan Drive cost?

Drive itself has no subscription — the editors, sharing controls, and per-file audit log are free on every account. Only storage is paid, and it is shared with NevTan Mail: 5 GB per mailbox is free forever for up to 10 mailboxes, then 35 GB is $2 per mailbox per year, 100 GB is $5, and 250 GB is $12.

How large a file can I upload?

Single files can be up to 100 MB. You can upload whole folders at once, and drag files straight onto the file area rather than using the upload button.

Can I edit a scanned PDF?

Yes. NevTan Drive runs text recognition on scanned or image-only PDFs, so the text in a scan becomes selectable and editable rather than a flat picture. You can then correct the text, annotate, sign, and save the result back as a PDF.

Can I convert files between formats?

Yes. Drive converts PDFs to Word and Excel, and converts images to PDF. The document, spreadsheet, and presentation editors export real .docx, .xlsx, and .pptx files, so what you download opens in Office.

What happens to a file when I delete it?

It moves to Trash, where it stays recoverable and continues to count against your storage until you delete it permanently or empty Trash. Nothing is removed for good until you say so.

Can I stop someone downloading a shared file?

Yes. A share link can be set to preview-only, which turns off downloading for people who open it — they can read the file in the browser but not take a copy away. You can also put a password on the link, or set it to expire on a date.

Does NevTan Drive work on a phone?

Yes. The whole workspace, including the PDF editor, is built to work at phone widths, so you can upload, preview, annotate, and share from a phone browser without a separate app.

How does NevTan Drive fit with the other NevTan apps?

One NevTan account signs you in across Drive, Mail, Sign, Cloud, Engage, Calendar, Keep, and Tasks. Drive and Mail share a single storage total, so there is one number to watch and one plan to buy rather than one per app.
